Most people know that a dead body is cremated in hindu religion. In the process the corpse of the deceased is placed on a pyre made of wood and set to fire until the whole body burns completely leaving only a few pieces of bones known as ASTHI.

Waking up of bodies
Stories of dead bodies waking up the pyre are as old as the ritual itself. People proclaim that they have seen movement in corpses while they are burning. If you observe the cremation process you are likely to feel that the limbs of the body suddenly straighten up and then fall down.
Does this mean the dead body is trying to wake up ? If not, then what is the reason for this? How do dead bodies move even when there is no life ? The prime reason for this strange phenomena is PUGILISTIC STANCE.
What is Pugilistic Stance ?
The Pugilistic Pose
Pugilistic Stance is when the body acquires a pose similar to a boxer protecting his chest commonly known as Pugilistic pose. It is sometimes observed that during the cremation process the dead body suddenly acquires Pugilistic pose.
How dead bodies appear to wake up
When the dead body is set to fire in a pyre the temperature raises above 800°C. At around 670°C the arm muscles of the corpse contracts and acquires pugilistic pose. This accompanied by separation of body parts due to combustion gives a view as if the dead body is moving or trying to wake up. Since this phenomena happens rarely under a certain set of circumstances only this provides foundation for stories of dead bodies waking up.
Woman in Chandigarh reported bloody tears coming from eyes
A woman in Chandigarh, India went to the emergency room at a hospital when she experienced bloody tears coming out of her eyes. The woman aged 25 years reported no pain or discomfort due to this. Various ophthalmological and radiological tests were done and all reports were normal. She said that she experienced same bloody tears last month as well. Later it was found that both times she was bleeding tears from her eyes during her periods. The doctors concluded that she is suffering from a rare condition called ocular vicarious menstruation.
Ocular Vicarious Menstruation
Ocular Vicarious Menstruation or cyclical bleeding occuring during menstruation from extra genital organs is a rare condition and in this the bleeding can occur from nose, lips, eyes, lungs, stomach. Bleeding from nose is most common in this rare disease.
This case was mentioned in the British Medical Journal and the study authors said that the hormonal changes during menstruation affect vascular permeability of these organs which may sometimes result im bleeding. Although the exact anatomical reason for this kind of bleeding is unknown, experts believe that the presence of endometrial tissue or endometriosis in extra genital organs can be a factor for vicarious menstruation.
Treatment
The woman has been given oral contraceptive medicines containing a combination of estrogen and progesterone for the treatment. After the three month follow up she has reported that she has not experience bloody tears since then.
Other reasons for bloody tears
Bloody tears or hemoclaria can occur due to a disease, tumour or injury and is a very rare condition. However in this woman’s case it was due to menstruation.

Indian culture in fact all ancient cultures over the world are full of mysterious and incredible sciences and knowledge. Samadhi and Mahasamadhi are one of them.
What is Mahasamadhi ?
According to Shaiva tantra of Hinduism the divine feminine energy is located at the kundalini of every individual and when one perform kundalini yoga this divine energy awakens. The kundalini yoga has defined seven chakras.
7 chakras of the Kundalini yoga
One has to practice Kundalini Yoga to clear all these chakras. Once you reach and clear the topmost chakra SAHASRARA , where knowledge blooms like a lotus, one attains Samadhi in which one’s soul consciously leaves the body to roam around the world.
The concept of Mahasamadhi is even higher than Samadhi. In MAHASAMADHI one voluntarily leaves the body and unite with Paramatma, the ultimate GOD. According to Yoga scriptures when a Yogi attains Samadhi or MAHASAMADHI his soul passes out through SAHASRARA which causes the blood to flow out from nostrils.
Have any human attained Mahasamadhi ?
Swami Vivekananda
It is believed that Indian monk Swami Vivekananda has attained Mahasamadhi. On 4 July 1902Swami Vivekanandaafter 9 pm when his disciples entered his room he was lying on his bed with beads of perspiration on his forehead. He cried like a baby and took few deep breaths and then a little blood came out of his nostrils. His head shook and fell off the pillow and his eyes became still. But after all this there was smile on his lips and as described by his disciples an unearthly glow was emitting from his smiling face. Medical science said that he had a heart attack or a blood vessel in his brain ruptured but his disciples believed that his vein ruptured as his brahmarandhra (an opening in the crown of his head) got pierced when he attained Mahasamadhi.
Though we have almost lost the science of kundalini yoga today but we know that there exists a high level of consciousness through which we can become one with the almighty.
Amid the death of Indian film actor Late Sushant Singh RajputMarijuana (Cannabis) popularly known as Ganja has become a hot topic of discussion. Every second day we get news update about different celebrities getting reported for possession of Ganja. In most cases the amount of drugs involved, such as marijuana or ganja, was negligible, not exceeding a few grams. But in the eyes of the law, it is a crime to possess all these substances, as administered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, prohibiting the production, possession, purchase or consumption of such as cannis sativa, such as marijuana, Hash, ganja, charas, and hemp.
What is Marijuana and what it does
History of Cannabis or Marijuana dates back to at least 2500 years ago and studies show that it was being smoked at that time also. It is also the most commonly used illegal drug in the world however it is also legal in a few countries.
Because of its various physical and mental effects like Euphoria, impaired short term memory and physical movements, altered state of mind etc it is used both for medicinal and recreational purposes. Its effects can be felt within a few minutes to one hour of consumption and may last for two to six hours. The most shocking fact about Marijuana or Cannabis is that it is less addictive than Alcohol, tobacco and even caffeine and sugar and all these substances are legal.
Marijuana ban in India
In an interview Indian actor late Irrfan Khan has said, “In our childhood Ganja was a normal thing and we could buy it easily. I do not understand the reason for its ban.” Another Indian actor Ranveer Shorey has also advocated for lifting ban from Marijuana citing the the laws are very old and need to be reviewed.
Lord Shiva who is considered a Supreme God in Indian (Hindu) culture is also depicted many times having Marijuana. Indian Saint Swami Vivekananda also used to smoke Cannabis. In many incarnations, hemp has been a part of the Indian tradition for a long time, from the devotional charas to the cannabis of cannabis during Holi. If the use of Ganja was so widespread and normal in the Indian society then what led to its ban.
Such drugs were not banned in India until the mid-1980s. In Calcutta, and elsewhere, cannabis was sold by government licensed hemp shops, noted for its analgesic properties, for medicinal purposes. In 1985, allegedly sighting the US example, which was facing a growing problem of heroin and cocaine, India banned all narcotics, including cannabis, as a suspected source of supply. Ironically, the US has now revoked the ban and had now allowed Personal use of marijuana in some states such as California.
One of the results of Marijuana ban is that the use of lab-made drugs vermac and crack has spread to young people in Punjab and other parts of the country. And these drugs are highly addictive and dangerous when compared to Marijuana.
Recently there have been condemnations in the news reports about many Bollywood celebrities, officers recovered several narcotics products which were benched in their possession. It is also reported that hash is widely used in bollywood parties. The fact is Weed or Joints are being widely used today despite the ban and it is less addictive and dangerous than many of the existing stuff of this kind. So may be it is high time to lift the US initiated drug ban and earn revenue from taxes on Marijuana as we do from tobacco and alcohol.
On 30 January 1948 at 5:17 pm in the evening the world seemed to stop for many Indians when a man named Nathu Ram Godse killed our Father of the NationMohan Das Karam Chand Gandhi popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi. Every person present at the Birla House, New Delhi was heartbroken when a man in his late 30s killed an elderly man nearly 80 years old, despite their nationalities.
Was Mahatma Gandhi aware of his assassination plan
Hours before his assassination a few incidents make everyone think that if Mahatma Gandhi was aware of his assassination plans. More than aware it seemed as if he was more than ready to accept it.
Mahatma Gandhi was extremely disturbed few days before his death due to the violence happening in India and Pakistan. Though in his late 70s the energetic man who never looked tired started to look tired and disappointed. He who never missed even a trivial part of his routine forgot his exercise a day before his death.
He was unwell and was prescribed penicillin. When her grand niece Manu Gandhi gave him his medicines he refused and said “If I were to die of disease or even a pimple, you must shout to the world from house-tops that I was a false mahatma. Then my soul, wherever it might be, will rest in peace. People might well swear at you for my sake; yet, if I died of illness, you should declare me a false or hypocritical mahatma. And if an explosion took place, as it did last week, or somebody shot at me and I received his bullet on my bare chest, without a sigh and with Rama’s name on my lips, only then you should say that I was a true mahatma. This will benefit the Indian people.”
10 days before his death a bomb was hurled at his prayer meeting. When Delhi Police tried to give him security he refused. Even after sevaral persuasions he did not take any security.
Just before the prayer meeting on 30 January 1948, two leaders from Kathiawar – Rasikbhai Parikh and Dhebarbhai had arrived to meet Mahatma Gandhi while he was in the meeting with Sardar Patel. When Manu Gandhi told Mahatma Gandhi about the visit of Kathiawar leaders he said “Tell them that, if I remain alive, they can talk to me after the prayer on my walk.”
These incidents and these words of Mahatma Gandhi somehow do not feel normal and make us think whether he knew that he will be killed. More than just knowing did he want to be killed. It felt like may be he was of the opinion that the violence that disturbed him badly would stop with his death.
At 5:17 pm on 30 January 1948Nathuram Godse guided by fanatic passion and radicalization pumped 3 bullets in him. There have been various attempts to justify the actions of Nathuram Godse. But the fact remains the same that a middle aged man killed an unarmed old man because he was having a different political opinion and this can never be justified. If such an incident where a person takes law in his hands leading to cold blooded murder because of difference of opinion is being justified than the problem lies with the society. There is some reason that the one who killed is called ‘The first terrorist of free India” and the one who got killed is called “Father of the Nation” and his death was mourned not only by India but the whole world.
