  • Real history of the region called today as Israel and Palestine.

    Map of Israel and Palestine.

Today the whole world is observing the conflict between Israel and Palestine and everyone is having an opinion and supportive their respective sides. But before we support the mighty Israel or Islamic Palestine we need to know a little history.

    The Simple History

As you can see in the map above the majority of the land area is occupied by Israel and a small areal is under Palestine. But during the start of 20th century picture was completely different. In 1946 about 95 % of the said area was under the Arabs or Palestine.

But after the UNs plan of 1947 about 25 percent of the area was granted to Israel. This was not at all accepted by adjoining  Islamic countries. They considered it as an insult  and started making plans to occupy jewish Israel.

By 1967 war erupted between Arabs and Israel that lasted for 6 days only and Israel inflicted a decisive blow to the Arab coalition. In this war Israel greatly increased its land area and occupied around 70% of the disputed area. From 1970 the area is constantly under conflict and Israel which had become highly technologically advance has an upper hand in the area. Israel is constantly increasing area under its control and at present it controls around 85% of the disputed land mass.

    The complicated history

Jews in Israel were long persecuted and were driven out first by the Romans in 1 st century AD then by the Christians in 4th century AD and finally by Muslims starting from 6th century AD. It was the Romans who first named the region as Syria palestina. After the rise of Islam in 6 th century the area remained under constant conflict majorly between the Christians and the Muslims as by then maximum number of jews had already fled the area to other nations.

In 10th century AD crusade or jihad or holy war broke out between Muslims and Christians. In thit Christians emerged victorious and occupied the whole area. Again in 11th century a second jihad or second crusade broke out between both the religion. But this time Muslims were led by the dynamic Islamic king Saladin who defeated the christians and occupied the whole region. The region stayed under Muslim control till 1917.

During the first world war British took over the region and after the war it started advocating for a Jewish home land in Jerusalem. The British efforts were driven by strong lobby from influential Jews banking family called the Rothschlid family. The Family literally controlled almost all the banks in the world and dictated European and American govt to carve a piece of land from a Muslim dominated region to form the country of Israel for Jewish settlement. And this is how a piece of land was snatched away and Israel was formed.

History says wrong was done with both at some point of time so no one could be clear right or clear wrong. In real world there are no exact blacks and whites there are greys only. But one thing is certain that there are no winners in wars. Only the ones who have the capacity to bear and overcome their loss are perceived as winners.

  • Dead body of Ravan waiting for someone to bring him back ??

Anyone who knows a bit about Hinduism is aware of Great Hindu Epic Ramayan with Shri Ram as the greatest hero and Ravan as the greatest villain. The war between Shri Ram and Ravan ends when Lord Ram kills Ravan with his arrow. But what happened after Ravan died. In many versions of Ramayan including Valmiki’s Ramayan it is mentioned that his dead body was cremated as per the rituals but many people believe otherwise.

    Who is Ravan ?

As per one of the most revered hindu scriptures Ramayan Ravan is a very powerful demon king of Lanka. He abducted Devi Sita forcefully and as a result got killed by Lord Ram. Ravan was highly learned and staunch devotee of Lord Shiva but he was also personification of evil. His sins were to the extant that God Vishnu himself had yo take birth to kill him. Can you ever imagine Ravan to be back to life. Even the thought is enough to scare all the mankind.

What happened after Ravan died ?

After Lord Ram won the battle and Ravan was killed everyone was busy in celebrating their victory abandoning his dead body as it is. Then Shri Ram instructed Vibhishan( brother of Ravan) to perform his last rights but he was in a hurry to take control of the throne so he left Ravan’s dead body as it is. Later when he returned there he could not find his dead body. Ravan was a good friend of the Naga king and it is believed that the Naga people took his dead body with them. The people of Nagkul believed that the death of Ravan was temporary and he could be revived. They made numerous efforts to bring him back to life but failed everytime. Finally they preserved his body by applying various chemicals so that it could be revived sometime in future.

    Where is Ravan’s body ?

The question here arises that if the body of Ravan is preserved then where it is now. In the dense jungles of Ragla, Sri Lanka a cave was discovered by Sri Lanka’s’ International Ramayan Research Center and the Ministry of Tourism. In this cave exists a thousands of years old mummified body guarded by fierce snakes. This mummy which is believed to be of Ravan has a special type of coating which preserved it for thousands of years and is closed in a 18 feet long casket. It is also believed that treasure of Ravan is also suppressed underneath.

It solely depends on an individual to believe whether last rights of Ravan were performed or his body was preservd. But the slightest possibility of his body being preserved for the purpose of revival is enough to send chills imagining what will happen if he ever comes back to life.

Dead Sea is located at the border of three countries namely Jordan, Israel and the west bank. The water level of Dead Sea is 430 mts below normal sea level of Earth and is highly saline which makes it denser than water that is 1.3 kg/lt. Due to this high density its water is highly bouyant because of which people float easily over it.

Because of this high salinity no living organisim can survive in it.Nor aquatic nor amphibious.

So it is called Dead Sea a sea in which no living organisim inhabits.
